This is the lost set from January 27th. Since there was not a show this week and to make matters worse, no repeat show played; all our mega fan-base heard was elevator music. YUK!!
So this week I can only post the missing set list and offer yet another apology. Seems like most of what Punk Rock Radio does is apologize for something; train wrecks, offensive comments, poor planning, unprofessionalism, nudity, whatever. I would say we aspire to be better, but in reality we are too lazy to try. Keep you expectations low. We will deliver Punk, Ska, and Rockabilly o-plenty, we will have not uninteresting banter, and we will promote and showcase local bands. These things, o-mighty punk fans, you can count on.

Tony-d did not have a copy of Home of the Brave with him and so a change needed to be made; or never stop the show (which was my vote!).
Last song… drumroll please!

Naked Raygun – Rat Patrol

This may have been the culprit.

I want to leave you with a quote from a book of photos of the emerging punk scene from the late 70’s on thru the late 80’s through the eyes of the photographers.

“Alexander was a great punk, Genghis Khan, Attila, Henry the Eighth, Napoleon, Mozart, Elvis were all punks of their time. My grandfather told me that ‘a punk is camel shit on a stick that is used to light fireworks’.
Punk is more than an attitude, it is a philosophy. One cannot become a punk by design. Punks are born, not made. You cannot call yourself a punk, it is a impression you leave with somebody else. Calling someone else a punk used to be derogatory or inflammatory. It has become a term of respect for an independent, anarchistic lifestyle roughly associated with a musical style and peripheral lifestyle.”
Yep.
